The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting the success of Iranian startups with an emphasis on environmental factors. To achieve this goal, 3 steps have been defined, the first step is a qualitative method ("interview with experts" and "theme analysis using existing theoretical foundations") and in the second step (use of questionnaire tools, factor analysis and t-test) and The third step (designing a questionnaire using the method of paired comparisons and conducting a hierarchical analysis) has used a quantitative method. In the first step, sampling was done by snowball method among a community of experts of university professors, managers and experts of start-up companies who had knowledge about the subject of research or had already conducted studies, and 17 people were selected and interviewed. . The results of the interviews led to the identification of 96 sub-components and their classification in the form of 12 main components and 2 general components of environmental and organizational factors. In the second step, 384 people were selected from the community based on the available sampling method and based on Morgan's table. Next, a questionnaire consisting of 96 items based on the Likert scale was designed and given to 384 selected people. The reliability of the questionnaires was determined using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which was equal to 0.86, indicating that the reliability is acceptable.
